DESCRIPTION
Maki is a gorgeous caramel-colored girl with a heart just as sweet as her looks. She can be a little bashful when you first meet her, but once you become her friend, she quickly warms up and shows just how loving she really is. This sweet girl is a total cuddle bug who loves to be close to her people. Once she trusts you, Maki will happily snuggle right up and soak in all the hugs and affection she can get. Maki was easy to leash and enjoyed a nice walk, and she showed interest in interacting with other dogs at the fence line. What she seemed to enjoy most, though, was spending one-on-one time with a person, where her affectionate and cuddly personality really shines. She already knows “sit” and is very treat motivated, which makes her eager to learn and easy to work with. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly companion who just wants to be close to her people, Maki might be the perfect match.
Adoptions are free and include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The Pit Bull Terrier is a resilient and loyal breed known for its muscular build and loving nature. Originally bred for bull baiting and later dog fighting, Pit Bulls today are beloved family pets cherished for their gentle temperament and playful personality. With proper training and socialization, Pit Bull Terriers make affectionate companions that thrive on human interaction. Recognized for their strength and agility, these dogs require regular exercise and mental stimulation to channel their energy positively, reinforcing their reputation as devoted and trainable pets.
