Baxter is in a foster home with his sister Birdie, while not technically related you wouldn’t be able to tell from the pics of them cuddling together like litter mates.
Baxter is a character and wins over the hearts of everyone he meets. He has an adorable little run with his short and stout legs and long body.
He’s also very smart! He listens when you call his name and he’s almost completely master
-going to his crate on command
-sitting for his food bowl
-sitting for treats
-potty training.
All with treats of course.
Currently he doesn’t love being outdoors but we suspect that it’s a combination of being found as a stray in these extreme cold temps and the fact that the people aren’t outside with him. When it warms up I can see him your regular old hiking / outdoors dog as he is eager to please and learn new things.
He likes meeting new people and while sometimes new situations make him unsure he’s always a brave boy
Baxter currently lives in a foster home with other dogs, kids and kitties and loves them all. Would be a fantastic addition to any home

We cannot hold animals more than 7 days after we approve an application, as we don't want them to miss out on a forever home.
Adopters are required to come to us to meet the pets. We cannot ship or transport animals.
