Meet Nova!

Nova is an 8-month-old Pit Bull Terrier mix weighing 43 pounds, and she has a tender, gentle soul. She was found as a stray and never reclaimed, so her past is unknown. On a leash, Nova can get a little overwhelmed and may freak out at times, but with patience, reassurance, and consistent training, she has plenty of potential to build confidence.
This sweet girl does well with her kennel mate and shows her softer side when she's nervous--sometimes crawling instead of walking, which just tugs at the heartstrings. While we don't know how she does with kids or cats, or whether she is house- or crate-trained, Nova's loving nature makes her a wonderful candidate for a calm, understanding home.
Nova is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations, and ready for someone to help her feel safe and loved. With a little time and a lot of kindness, Nova is sure to blossom into an amazing companion. 💕🐾

Nova's Adoption Fee is $115.50 plus taxDogs are $115 and puppies are $110 unless otherwise noted. All cats and kittens are $75.00 unless otherwise noted. Our system automatically updates adoptable websites every two hours. Feel free to email or call us with any questions you may have. Our contact number is 270-887-4175. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30-4 and is closed daily for lunch from 12:30-1. Adoptions are done on a first come first serve basis for owner releases.
