Meet Odie!

Some dogs just keep getting back up no matter how many times life knocks them down. Odie is one of those dogs.

Years ago, Odie found himself at the shelter. He got his ticket out... only to end up back there again through no fault of his own. Another stroke of bad luck for a boy who truly deserves better. But we believe the second half of Odie’s story is going to be the very best part.

Odie is around 6 years old — the perfect age if you ask us. He’s past the wild puppy chaos but still has plenty of happy, playful life ahead of him. He comes with built-in chillness, some solid manners, and a heart of gold. He knows “sit” and “shake,” walks nicely on a leash, and will happily show off his skills for a yummy treat.

He’s good with other dogs and seems unfazed by cats (and we’re happy to do more testing if you have a feline friend at home). He’d also do just fine with kiddos. Truly, he’s just an easy, lovable, good boy.

Everyone rushes to adopt the puppies — and we get it. But dogs like Odie? They are the hidden gems. The grateful ones. The steady companions. The ones who will look at you like you hung the moon.

Odie doesn’t need another temporary stop. He needs his forever. He needs someone who will choose him for the rest of his days.

Once submitted, we will reach out to approved applicants by phone. We may also suggest other amazing dogs in our care who could be a great fit for your home.

LOCATION & TRANSPORT:

This dog is currently in South Mississippi. Local and out-of-town adopters are welcome. For out of town adopters, we offer virtual meet-and-greets and can arrange transport to many states in the Northeast. (The $275 adoption fee includes transport to the city on this listing. Our transports run every 2-3 weeks to that location.) We cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.

VETTING:

All of our dogs are cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport and arrive to their adopters spayed/neutered with age-appropriate vaccines completed and are microchipped. Note: We cannot guarantee full grown size or breed mix. Both are guesses based on physical characteristics and any known history.
