DESCRIPTION
Meet Coppertone - an easygoing, go-with-the-flow kind of guy who enjoys both adventure and downtime.
At about 3.5 years old and 66 pounds, Coppertone is a well-rounded companion with a nice balance of curiosity and calm. He's easy to get out of the kennel and settles into new situations without much fuss.
Coppertone shows signs of being housetrained and has overall nice manners in a home setting. He hops right into the car without any trouble and truly seems to enjoy going for a ride-cruising around might just be one of his favorite things! He rides comfortably and even relaxes enough to doze off along the way.
On leash, Coppertone does pull and will need some continued work on his leash skills, but he enjoys being out and about, especially when he gets to sniff and explore. He would likely love a home that includes walks on trails or even hikes where he can take in all the interesting smells.
He has a medium energy level-he gets occasional bursts of playful zoomies and clearly enjoys having fun, but he also really appreciates quiet, relaxing time. While he isn't particularly interested in toys, he's content to explore his surroundings or just hang out with his people.
Coppertone is friendly and enjoys attention, happily accepting pets from new people and doing well in calmer public settings. When it comes to bath time, he may be a little unsure at first, but once he settles in, he ends up enjoying the experience.
Overall, Coppertone is a sweet, easygoing dog who would love a home where he can enjoy both peaceful downtime and the occasional adventure. If you're looking for a loyal companion who enjoys the simple things-like a good car ride and time spent together-Coppertone might be your perfect match.
As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog to dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines.
To meet your new pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
