More About Tater Tubs Squishy Sweetheart
OH MY GOODNESS! Y'all there is nothing that I love more than a squishy, blockheaded beefcake and Tater Tubs is exactly that! He has the type of face that makes you almost get that uncontrollable urge to squeeze their squishy little face, as if their cuteness is too much for your heart to handle. Like your love for them is just bursting out in an adorable, squishy explosion!
That's what it's like when you meet Tater. You know it's ridiculous, but you just can't help but want to smoosh him because he's that adorable. We haven't even gotten to all of the best parts though!
There is SO much to love about him. Watch his video and you'll be just as obsessed with him as we are: https://youtu.be/aqakrZYbV-I?si=qQGSi5CAoQtbK0BC
Don't you love him already?! We do too! One thing you probably noticed, and what I love the most about him, is how gentle he is and how adaptable his energy is. You can get him super hyped and excited, get him to do the zoomies, but the second that you let him know it's time to calm down, he does.
Even when you do get him super excited and start to rough play with him, he is gentle and was never too much or ever gave the impression that he was going to jump on me. He does, however, like to sit in your lap if you're sitting on the floor LOL. Tater is a wannabe lap dog and a big baby. Also, if you're familiar with the term "pibble nibbles," then you'll understand the way he gives kisses.
Tater is very dog friendly and is the chill guy enjoying the sunshine and doing his own thing in the yard. He doesn't mind if other dogs are running around and is even used as an assessment dog at the rescue! He is so even-keeled with almost every dog he meets and is very tolerant of even the pushiest of dogs. He isn't even bothered if he gets accidentally bumped into LOL. He'll just stand there and walk away, completely unphased by it.
He meets dogs beautifully on leash, a quick hello and a sniff, and he's already off doing his own thing without a care in the world. Although he's not a super playful guy, he has been in playgroups with upwards of six dogs and is completely unbothered by dogs playing around him, running around, getting in his face, all of that. He is simply just happy to hang out and watch the other dogs play.
In a home, he would do best with another friend with a similar personality. Cool, calm, and collected. A doggy friend that isn't looking for a playmate and is more interested in relaxing alongside Tater. If you don't have other dogs, that's fine too! Tater does not need the company of another dog to help him feel comfortable and open up or to fulfill his energy needs. He is naturally a chill guy with low energy.
Tater is not only good-looking and very dog friendly, but he's super smart too!! He already knows a handful of basic commands such as sit, knows how to play fetch, and seems to have a general understanding of paw, down, and spin! Tater is also crate trained, potty trained, and has great house manners! He immediately made himself feel right at home and never got into anything he wasn't supposed to. Even if he did, he is very responsive to his people and listens to corrections. Tater is fairly easy to walk on a leash and only needed very subtle leash corrections to encourage him to keep walking if he was sniffing a spot for too long.
We can see a lot of chill adventures and outdoor exploring with this guy! He loves to stop and smell the roses and really enjoys the outdoors. Especially if water is involved! He loves the water and will never pass up an opportunity to dip his paws in and cool off. Get your beach towels packed because Tater is already in the car ready for the beach (or lake). If you don't have a beach, lake, or access to water anywhere close, we're sure he will be just as happy with a little kiddie pool in the backyard. Speaking of yards, we do believe that Tater would thrive and do best in a home with a backyard. A place where he can romp around, get the occasional zoomies, play fetch with his humans, and sunbathe during those nice summer days.
We are willing to test Tater Tubs with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
