DESCRIPTION

Juno is….well, you know… perfect! She is a butterball baby full of love and fun with a sparkle in her eyes that makes it near impossible not to fall head over heels for. She’s fostered in a loving home where she has proven herself to be the dream blend of snuggly companion, easy housemate, playful doggie playmate, and joyful little shadow. Juno adores people, is house trained and crate trained, rides beautifully in the car, and has the sweetest, softest, melt-like-butter-for-you kind of affection.

Before you fall completely in love reading about her, take a peek at her happy, wiggly, sunshine-soul personality here, then come back to read more:

Juno is estimated to be around 2 years old and weighs about 64 pounds. We believe she’s a pittie mix, but calling her a buttercake feels waaaay more accurate. Let’s be honest though, if she isn’t a butterball or a pittie you can’t be mad — she is a rescue and with all rescue dogs, age and breed are our best guess. What isn’t a guess is how magical she is when she connects — she is gentle, loving, and wonderfully people-focused with an innocent, happy-go-lucky presence.

In her foster home, Juno has shown just how easy she is to live with. She goes to bed in her crate in the evening without a fuss, settles calmly in the house, and loves nothing more than curling up close or laying at your feet while you work or relax. She walks well on leash, “loads up” easily into a taller SUV, and is a great passenger for errands or weekend adventures.

She has also spent time in a home with a group of dogs and five cats, and coexisted beautifully with everyone. Even when the resident dog gets barky at passing neighbors, Juno simply observes — no need to join in. Simply, she is a quiet, thoughtful girl with excellent house and social manners. She has a playful side too — she loves tug, enjoys a little lizard-watching in the yard, and happily entertains herself with chew toys, squeaky stuffies, or bouncy balls when she’s feeling silly.

Her foster describes her as cuddly, lighthearted, and incredibly easy to love. She keeps the resident dog happily entertained, brings a lovely “well-balanced” energy to the home, and has that perfect mix of fun outside and calm companionship inside. Her foster did share that Juno is built like a dense barrel of enthusiastic, happy love and when she is excited, she may still jump- and because of her size and joyful momentum, a home with children 12 and up who won’t be easily knocked over in her zoom-of-love moments would be best. Her foster has also shared that walks on a traditional leash can be challenging just because she is strong and would sure love to chase those pesky squirrels so a confident handler is best, but she is also being trained to walk on a gentle leader which is a tool that will transition with her to her forever home.

Juno would thrive in a home with a yard where she can run and explore a bit each day and continue her huntress duties, keeping an eye on the cicadas, squirrels, lizards and such. On her fosters property she has space to run and explore, which has been a great outlet for her. If moving into apartment life, adopters should be prepared to guide her with structure during leash walks consistent enrichment, and social engagement. Doggy daycare or occasional play dates would be a bonus for her k-9 social side and happy nature.

Juno is easy to love and a sweet companion - but know that you must love cuddles, snuggles, and life with an XL lap dog. Sounds like heaven if you ask me! Basically, Juno has a heart full of love and a special magic that makes every day feel a little more special. You will not ever wonder if she is “the one,” you will know the moment you meet her.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.

The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!

Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
