I need everyone to stop what they're doing.

Yes... even you pretending to work.

Because I have discovered a serious problem.

This little brindle rascal, Maverick, is STILL AVAILABLE.

Look at him.

He has that little white stripe on his nose like somebody took a paintbrush and said, "Perfect."

He's got those puppy eyes that could convince me to hand over my entire treat stash...

...and I don't even share snacks with Earl.

Maverick is everything a puppy should be.

Curious enough to investigate every leaf.
Brave enough to wrestle siblings twice his size.
Sweet enough to melt your heart the second he crawls into your lap.

Now, before somebody comments...

"But Gumbo... puppies are a lot of work."

Correct.

So are children.

At least Maverick won't ask to borrow your car when he turns sixteen.

He just wants toys, treats, belly rubs, and someone to love for the rest of his life.

Honestly, he's setting the bar pretty low.

So here's today's assignment:

Fall in love.
