- May need some time to warm up to strangers, but once she does she is very sweet; looking for a family who will allow her to meet people at her own pace
- Previous family said she loved to cuddle up with them when they were relaxing and watching TV together; also loved to snuggle while they were sleeping
- Has quite a bit of energy and loves playing outside with her family
- Was potty trained in her previous home and would hold it unless she was left for an extended period of time (5+ hours); just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new routine
- Also was crate-trained in her previous home and was used to being in her kennel when her family was gone
- Knows sit and is very food-motivated, so she'd be fun to train
- Walks nicely on a leash and harness
- Can be a little unsure when she hears loud, unfamiliar noises
- Did well with kids - school-age and teens - in her previous home
- Can be uncertain and vocal around other dogs, but ultimately she just wants to play; may have a bit of a rowdy play style (dog intro recommended)
- We don't know her history with cats
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
