Meet Atzi - A Playful, Loving Pit Bull with a Big Heart
Atzi was born on January 2, 2025, and adopted from Fort Worth Animal Care & Control on March 15, 2025. She came home at just 6.7 pounds and has grown into a strong, healthy 48-pound young dog with a whole lot of personality.
Atzi completed 30 days of professional obedience training at K9 Mastery School in Bastrop, Texas. She knows and reliably uses her basic commands and responds well to structure and consistency. While she ultimately wasn't suited for service-dog work, she is a smart, eager learner who wants to do the right thing.
She is energetic, playful, and affectionate, with an independent streak that gives her plenty of character. Atzi would thrive in a home with another dog to play with or an active family with children who can keep her engaged and loved. She enjoys playtime and would do great with people who like to stay moving.
Atzi is good with cats-she currently lives with two and is actually a bit afraid of the dominant one! She has no aggression issues and does well when given reassurance and routine.
Like many sensitive dogs, Atzi has some anxiety of her own, but with patience, love, and stability, she blossoms. She's not perfect-and that's part of what makes her special. She's looking for a family who will see her for who she is and give her the support she deserves.
All of Atzi's belongings will go with her-she just needs a home full of love, understanding, and play.
If you're looking for a loyal companion, a fun-loving playmate, and a dog who will repay kindness tenfold, Atzi is ready to meet you.
Atzi is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.
