Nine spent nearly two months in a South Los Angeles shelter kennel before Show Me Your Pitties Rescue pulled him just one day before he was scheduled to be euthanized. Most of that time was spent in an indoor kennel where nobody could see him. He barely had a chance.
Now that he's in a foster home, we're finally getting to know who Nine actually is, and he's been worth the wait.
He's a soft, floppy, 50-pound lap dog who greets people with full-body wiggles and will trot around proudly with a toy in his mouth just to make you smile. He's curious about the world but not pushy about it. He settles into routines quickly, is fully housetrained, and gets along well with other dogs and kids. He's the kind of dog who just wants to be near his people, whether that's on the couch, on a walk, or curled up on a dog bed at your feet.
Nine does best in a home without cats. He'd thrive with an adopter who understands that shelter life doesn't define a dog, and who's ready to give him the stability he's been waiting for.
He's already come so far. He just needs the last piece: a family to call his own.
