Pit Bull Terrier Dogs Available for Adoption

Amira is a wayward teen who found herself in a shelter shortly after becoming pregnant by some ruffian out on the streets. To say that motherhood wasn't Amira's forte would be an understatement. After her pups were born, she enjoyed leaving them to fend for themselves while she sat in her chair and stared longingly out of the window. Uninterested in feeding the pups, Amira would rip zoomies around the living room or play with one of her stuffies while her foster mom frantically tried to feed and care for her newborn infant puppies. Also sometimes she would sit on them. Just for fun.

Now that Amira's pups are grown, she's working on her revenge body and will do laps around the yard with a stuffy in her mouth. She really seems to enjoy going for car rides even though she seems nervous the whole time. I am required to inform potential adopters that Amira has been apprehended in the past for petty theft as she tried to sneak out of Lizzi and Roccos with a stuffy in her mouth after a bath. Luckily, her foster mom was able to keep Amira out of the clink by going back into the store to buy the toy. The lack of repercussions may have convinced Amira that it's fine to shoplift, so adopters will need to keep a close eye on her in retail environments. The stolen stuffy will go with her to her new home (if it survives until her adoption) since she loves it sooooo much more than her own children.

Despite Amira's lack of maternal instincts, she still happens to be a very sweet girl who loves attention. She has a freaky little underbite smile that she does any time she gets booty scratches and she will do her tippy taps any time she wants attention. Amira is VERY food motivated- to the extent that she can't stay in the room when her puppies are eating because she will jump into their pen and inhale their puppy kibble the second her foster mom looks away. Sometimes she does it while making eye contact with her foster mom because Amira dgaf. Food over everything is her life motto.

Amira spent most of her life before coming to CMHS chained up in a yard before being seized with several other dogs for neglect. It took months for the rust stain to come out of her white coat from where her rusty chain collar sat on her neck. It's safe to say that Amira was not properly trained, socialized or cared for as a pup, so she grew up to be kind of a freak. She isn't always super sure how to "Dog." Miss Amira hopes that she can find a home where she can let her freak flag fly, with people who are patient enough as she figures out how being a dog is supposed to go. Amira has so much love to give her forever family, but she would 100% sell them out for a snack or a stuffy. Adopt this sweet, silly criminal today!
