Meet Cow, the sweetest cuddle bug. Cow came into our care when her previous family could no longer keep her, and now she's more than ready for her forever home. She has been nothing but gentle and affectionate with staff - she loves pets, loves treats, and loves being near her people.

Cow was one of our lucky pups who got to decompress in a foster home, and she settled in instantly. She rode calmly in the back seat on her freedom ride and decided on night one that her favorite place is curled up beside her human. She sleeps soundly (with adorable snores) and is happiest when she can be close.

Cow is wonderfully potty trained and unfazed by elevators, thunderstorms, trains, motorcycles, scooters, joggers, bikers, vacuum cleaners, or blow dryers. Because she has a keen sense of hearing, she may bark at hallway noises at first, this decreases as she feels safe in her new home. She needs time, understanding and patience while she becomes familiar with her surroundings.

On walks, Cow is a dream. She enjoys long strolls, doesn't chase wildlife, and handles neighborhood streets like a Chicagoan. She's alert around other dogs but stays neutral unless approached by a reactive one. Keeping a bit of distance helps everyone stay calm and happy. Indoors, she's trustworthy - she can be left uncrated for several hours, especially with a peanut-butter-filled Kong to keep her content.

Cow also has a silly, joyful side: she loves rolling in the grass, doing happy wiggles on the bed, and showing off her puzzle-toy smarts (videos included). With a little time and patience, she warms up beautifully. Once she trusts you, she becomes deeply loyal and affectionate.

Cow is ready for a forever home that will love her as much as she loves her people.
