Mazey is simply AMAZING! This gal found herself as collateral damage when her owner was arrested in the Meijer parking lot … he said he would come get her but he never showed up even though he was bailed out of jail. We know nothing of Mazey’s past but it obviously has been traumatic … she came to us already missing one of her legs and full of fear. She’s never been forwardly aggressive … but when she arrived at the dog shelter she just vibrated in the back of a kennel with her tail tucked and pupils dilated. When she came for her wellness exam, not much was different except we noticed her fear and made it our mission to show her kindness .. and she has thrived in her foster home. Her first few days in her foster home were spent at a distance … watching and taking it all in … but then she decided to take some treats from her foster mom and then some brave steps out of her open doored kennel and now it’s like she’s always been here. She is crate trained and housebroken, moves very well on three legs and loves her food. She would do well in a home that will give her the same room and time to adjust and continue to see find and experience the good in the world. She’s been great with other dogs but unsure of cats. Pit mix. 2-3yrs. 45lbs. $150

Any vaccinations/boosters due after adoption is finalized will be the new owner's responsibility. All animals are current at time of adoption but in some cases a booster series is required or a vaccine cannot be given due to age and cannot be completed prior to adoption
Our adoptable animals come to us from various sources, the most common being from an animal shelter who is unable to handle their physical or mental needs in the shelter setting but believe with the appropriate care, they can become adoptable.
