Meet Bluebelle – A Big Personality in a Brindle Package

Bluebelle is a 9-month-old blue brindle and white pittie mix with a huge zest for life. She’s still very much a puppy and brings all the energy, curiosity, and chaos that comes with it.Bluebelle is NOT your girl if your're looking for a calm, easygoing dog—but if you’re excited about training, playtime, and helping a young dog grow into her best self, she could be an amazing match.

Bluebelle is extremely playful and high-energy. She loves running, wrestling, and playing with other dogs and would do well with a canine playmate who enjoys an enthusiastic play style. Because she gets very worked up and has a hard time settling down on her own, she will need an adopter who can provide structure, exercise, and consistent training to help her learn how to relax.

During play, Bluebelle can be mouthy (a common puppy behavior) and she still needs guidance on appropriate ways to interact. She doesn’t always listen well yet and is still learning her manners, so she’ll need a confident, firm owner who is committed to training and setting clear boundaries. The good news is that she already knows “sit” and is very treat-motivated, which makes training a great opportunity for bonding and progress—though she can get a little grabby when taking treats, so gentle treat manners will be something to work on.

Because of her intensity and excitable nature, Bluebelle would do best in a home with kids 16 and up who understand how to interact with a young, energetic dog. Her high prey drive and play energy mean a home without cats is recommended.

Bluebelle isn’t a “plug-and-play” dog—she’s a project pup with a lot of potential. With the right person willing to put in the time, training, and patience, she has all the ingredients to grow into an incredible, loyal companion. She’s bright, affectionate, and absolutely loves to play—she just needs someone ready to help her channel that energy the right way.

If you’re looking for a fun, spirited dog and are excited about shaping a young pup into a well-mannered adult, Bluebelle may be waiting just for you. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. My adoption fee is SPONSORED
