Looking for the perfect mix of playful energy and cozy cuddles? Meet Herbie, a one-year-old, 46-pound sweetheart who is equal parts adventure buddy and professional snuggler.
Herbie loves being outside, whether that means heading out for a walk, playing with his dog friends, or stretching out in the sun like he owns the place. He is a smart, eager learner who already knows several commands, and while “come” sometimes requires a little convincing, he is always trying his best. He is currently polishing up skills like settling, staying, and impulse control, and his progress has been impressive.
At home, Herbie is settling into a great routine. He is nearly fully house trained and continues to improve every week. He attends doggy daycare three days a week and consistently gets glowing reviews for his play style and manners with other dogs. He is also making wonderful strides with cats and has even started trying to play with them, showing just how adaptable and gentle he can be.
Herbie has also been around children and handled it like a champ, making him a great candidate for a family home. No matter the setting, his favorite place is wherever his people are. Whether he is romping around the yard or curled up beside you on the couch, he just wants to be part of the action.
If you are looking for a loyal, goofy, and loving companion who is ready to keep learning and growing with you, Herbie might be your perfect match.
Herbie is currently in foster care outside of the shelter. If you are interested in learning more or meeting Herbie, please complete an adoption survey using the link below (copy and paste the link):
