Meet Nanny May, an 8-year-old, petite 34-pound sweetheart who charms everyone she meets. During playgroup, she immediately sought comfort from the handlers, showing her people-loving nature. She’s curious and tolerant of other dogs around her, though she prefers to keep things calm rather than fully dive into play.

Nanny May is easy on leash and has a medium-energy vibe, making her a lovely companion for relaxed walks and sniff-and-explore adventures. She happily comes to you for pets and affection, offering gentle hugs and soaking up all the love. She adores toys—especially squeaky ones—and loves to push a ball with her nose before picking it up, and she even enjoys a game of fetch. Booty scratches are a favorite, bath time is no problem for her, and she’ll politely sit for treats.

Despite being a senior, multiple volunteers note that Nanny May acts much younger than her age and has plenty of joy to share!
