Bender is a handsome, 1.8-year-old pup with a heart as big as his soulful eyes. He was found abandoned at a church, and it didn't take long for everyone there to fall in love with him. After staying for a week with no one coming forward to claim him, kind members of the community stepped in to make sure he got the care he deserved-he is now neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and ready for his forever home.
Bender has an incredibly sweet and affectionate personality. He loves being close to his people and has the cutest habit of gently rubbing his face and head against your legs to ask for love and attention. He's calm, gentle, and not overly energetic, making him the perfect companion for someone looking for a relaxed but deeply loving dog.
He is very obedient and eager to please. While he's still learning commands, he's picking things up quickly and wants to make you proud. He's currently working on leash walking-his version of training sometimes includes laying down mid-walk -but with a little patience and encouragement, he'll get there.
Bender gets along well with other dogs and has been around cats. He's more curious than anything and has shown no signs of aggression or chasing-in fact, the cats tend to be more worked up than he is!
He is potty trained. While he isn't crate trained, he did very well during a two-day stay at the vet, showing he can adapt when needed.
Bender is truly a special dog-gentle, loving, and resilient. After being abandoned, he deserves a safe, stable home where he'll be cherished for the rest of his life.
