🇺🇸

March 16th
male, medium, senior

DESCRIPTION

Meet our super friendly and goofy senior boy named Silas! Silas is about 8.5 years old and he is really great dog! Silas came to our shelter after he was found wandering alone in a parking lot. He has your typical old man lumps and bumps, but he still has good energy and he loves attention. Silas had a senior blood panel done and everything came back fine including his heartworm and tick disease test. Silas loves a good bed and entertains himself with a chew toy. He is fine with other dogs, but he can't have dogs jumping on his back end often. He also tested fine with cats! Silas can go to a home with children 10 years old and older.

When we brought Silas to our vet, we had some xrays done on his back legs and discovered he has 2 torn ACLs. At this time, he gets around fine, just a bit slowly, and they appear to be very old injuries. All that was recommended was he be placed on joint supplements and anti inflammatories long term for pain management.

If you are interested in adopting Silas, Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! His adoption fee is $75.00.

If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.
Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal.
