MaryJane gave birth to 10 hearty puppies on 3/31/26. We will be weaning her from her pups soon.

This beautiful 8-year-old, 52 lb gray and white Pittie mix has been through more than her fair share—but her story is taking a turn for the better.

MaryJane once had an owner and even found her way back home twice after being picked up as a stray in Visalia, CA in 2019. But on March 17, 2026, she was surrendered to Dinuba PD with the heartbreaking statement that her owner “didn’t care what happened to her.”

At the time, MaryJane was not only alone—she was also pregnant and close to full term. Soon after, she was placed on the euthanasia list and urgently needed rescue.

That’s when fate stepped in. One of our incredible volunteers saw her photo and knew she had to be saved. With the help of amazing pilots Fritz & Rusty, MaryJane was flown on a private plane on a 2 leg journey here to Orange County, CA.

Despite everything she’s been through, MaryJane is as sweet as they come. She has been an amazing mama to her 10 pups. She is friendly with everyone she meets and loves other dogs. She enjoys going for long strolls (maybe even a light jog here and there). MaryJane would love a second chance to find that perfect family who will love her forever.
