DESCRIPTION
Meet Reesie! Reesie is a 2-year-old Dapple Pit Bull who was found as a stray on 1/13/26. This sweet girl is a little shy at first, but with patience and gentle guidance, she blossoms into a loving companion. Reesie is a low to medium energy dog who thrives in a calm, steady environment. She responds beautifully to positive reinforcement and would do best with a guardian who has a calm disposition and can help build her confidence. Searching games and mental activities are perfect ways to keep her happy and engaged. When meeting other dogs, Reesie prefers slow introductions. She recently met Piper and was polite, curious, but confident in keeping her own space—showing she’s independent but social when comfortable. She enjoys the company of calm canine friends, like Clyde, our Min Pin mix. For families, older kids (8+) are recommended, and interactions should be supervised, as Reesie can be a little cautious at first. With the right home, Reesie will thrive as a gentle, confident, and loyal companion—ready to share love at her own pace.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The Pit Bull Terrier is a resilient and loyal breed known for its muscular build and loving nature. Originally bred for bull baiting and later dog fighting, Pit Bulls today are beloved family pets cherished for their gentle temperament and playful personality. With proper training and socialization, Pit Bull Terriers make affectionate companions that thrive on human interaction. Recognized for their strength and agility, these dogs require regular exercise and mental stimulation to channel their energy positively, reinforcing their reputation as devoted and trainable pets.
