CAMI IS CURRENTLY BEING FOSTERED IN TEXAS BUT IS ABLE TO TRAVEL TO IOWA ON ONE OF OUR UPCOMING TRANSPORTS.
Cami was found after being dumped alongside her two starving puppies, where they stayed in the same spot for a full week waiting for someone who never came back. With the help of dedicated people keeping an eye on them and slowly gaining their trust with food, they were safely brought into rescue. Now, Cami is finally getting the chance to experience what it means to be safe and cared for.
Cami is a very sweet and affectionate girl who loves to snuggle and be close to her person. She has a calm, quiet personality and is happiest curled up on the couch with you. She is potty trained, crate trained, and is currently in basic training where she is learning what it means to be a house dog. She is eager to please and picks up on things quickly. Cami knows commands like “sit” and “touch” and is continuing to build confidence and skills each day. She walks well on leash but is still learning, and she enjoys having structure and guidance. Cami does well with other dogs but can become a little protective of her person, something she is actively working through in training. She is a gentle soul who will thrive with a patient, consistent home.
Cami is heartworm positive, which is common among strays in the South. The good news is that she is completing treatment and is on her way to being heartworm negative soon. If you have any questions about her health, please don’t hesitate to reach out via email.
Cami is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, on monthly preventative, dewormed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $450 and that includes transport to our Cedar Rapids, IA location.
If you’re interested in giving Cami her forever home, please complete our adoption application linked below. Thank you for considering this sweet pup!
