DESCRIPTION
Contact the foster at, mmczipo@gmail.com Guppy is a tiny three-year-old sweetheart with the most gorgeous, expressive eyes. This little guy is fully grown and under 35 pounds, though he’s a bit skinny right now and could use some extra meals and TLC. Guppy is incredibly gentle, sweet, and very snuggly—he loves staying close to his person. He did great passing other dogs in the kennel and on leash, and while he was curious about the shelter cat outside, he redirected easily. In the play yard he enjoyed chasing a ball but always came right back for treats—this boy is very treat motivated! Guppy is a loving little companion who just needs a caring home to help him gain a little weight and enjoy all the cuddles he deserves. 1. Very sweet boy 2. Gets excited when about to go out. Starts to hop like a kangaroo. Once outside remains calm. 3. Will jump up when happy to see a friend. Recommend children 12 and older. 4. Favorite sport is playing outside with his ball on a rope. Inside he plays with his toys but is rough. Not recommended: toys with squeakers. 5. Not a destructive dog. 6. Treat motivated. 7. Crate trained. Use treats to get him to go in at night. 8. Still working on a potty schedule. 9. Does not bark at night. Will whine a brief time after going into the crate then stops. 10. Good on leash. Will start off a walk pulling slightly then reduces the pulling. 11. Loves car rides ( especially with pup cups). 12. Likes to lay in the sun for long periods of time. 13. Not reactive when other dogs get near him. Wants to explore then moves on. At meet and greet he stayed still letting people pet him. 14. When outside does not react to birds or squirrels that come by. 15. Wants to jump on your lap to give you kisses. Likes head rubs.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The Pit Bull Terrier is a resilient and loyal breed known for its muscular build and loving nature. Originally bred for bull baiting and later dog fighting, Pit Bulls today are beloved family pets cherished for their gentle temperament and playful personality. With proper training and socialization, Pit Bull Terriers make affectionate companions that thrive on human interaction. Recognized for their strength and agility, these dogs require regular exercise and mental stimulation to channel their energy positively, reinforcing their reputation as devoted and trainable pets.
