Meet Dorkus!
Dorkus is a 2-year-old sweetheart with the perfect balance of playful energy and laid-back charm. He walks beautifully on a leash and has done great meeting and interacting with other dogs. He’s also met kids and did wonderfully, making him a fantastic family companion.

Dorkus is potty trained, affectionate, and loves being close to his people. He has a medium energy level — happy to be active and explore, but just as content hanging out and relaxing at home. He enjoys car rides and loves playing fetch and engaging with toys.

On a recent day out with a foster, Dorkus was a little nervous at first in the car, but once someone sat with him in the back seat, he relaxed completely and soaked up the companionship. He clearly loves being near his humans and patiently waits when they step away, always ready to reconnect.

Out on the trail, Dorkus was gentle and polite, even when passing other dogs. He was curious but never pulled on the leash. One of his favorite moments? Walking straight into a creek and happily wading in belly-deep!

With his gentle nature, sweet personality, and adaptable energy, Dorkus will make a wonderful family dog for both kids and adults alike.
