Pit Bull Terrier and Labrador Retriever Dogs Available for Adoption

Come meet me and 75+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's Super Adoption Event, Furever Yours! Sunday, February 15th, 2026 at Paradise Island in Staten Island from 11am - 3pm!

Meet Winkie! Winkie is a 2-month-old, 11-pound Lab/Pit Bull mix puppy with all the curiosity and sweetness you'd expect from a little guy his age. He loves exploring his surroundings and is always interested in whatever his people are doing.

He's currently learning to potty outside and definitely knows a tasty treat is waiting when he comes back in. Winkie is also working on basic commands and will happily sit for his snacks. He sleeps through the night in his crate like a champ.

Like most puppies, Winkie is teething, so he enjoys plenty of chew toys - and he especially loves chomping on ice and snow before settling down for a cozy nap. His favorite things include eating, napping, and giving lots of sweet snuggles.

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
