Meet Silas

Silas is a big ol' sweetie pie with the heart of a puppy and the soul of a seasoned snuggler. When he's not enjoying a well-earned nap on a soft, fluffy bed, Silas loves to play, be goofy, and show off his fun side.

He's a fan of durable toys, enthusiastic tug games, and anything involving peanut butter-especially peanut-butter-filled bones. Treats of all kinds are very welcome, and Silas takes his snack time seriously. Belly rubs and booty scritches? Absolute favorites.

Silas adores his foster dads and makes it his mission to sneak in extra couch cuddles whenever possible. One of his favorite activities is a good sniffari, taking his time to explore the world one scent at a time.

Fun fact: Silas had been walked by his foster dad at the shelter for months. When Silas received a difficult diagnosis and his future felt uncertain, his foster offered him a "sleepover" as a temporary reprieve. Silas was so easy, so well-behaved, and so full of love that there was no way he could be taken back.

Silas knows how to sit, is a proud Ravens fan, and looks especially handsome in green. Most of all, he's a gentle, affectionate boy who has a way of quietly stealing your heart-and your spot on the couch.

Medical Update
Silas recently had three masses removed. One was a benign lipoma, and the other two were mast cell tumors that were fully removed with clean margins-great news. Follow-up x-rays showed no signs of additional masses, and his medical team is very pleased with his results.

Silas is feeling good, enjoying life in foster care, and soaking up all the love (and treats) while he continues to thrive.
