Meet Rover Journey!
Rover is currently about 1 month old and weighs approximately 6.5 pounds. We believe he may be a Pit Bull/Lab mix, but with rescue it's always our best guess! What we do know for sure is that this little guy is absolutely adorable and is one of the many puppies desperately needing a safe future. Shelters in the area Rover came from are facing heartbreaking overcrowding, and puppies like him are at risk. Choosing to adopt Rover not only saves his life but also creates space for another dog in need.
Rover is the definition of a happy puppy. He is playful, affectionate, curious, cuddly, and already incredibly well-rounded for such a young age. With his sleek black coat, adorable white chest, and tiny white socks, he looks like he's always dressed up in a little tuxedo. His sweet face and soulful puppy eyes make it nearly impossible not to fall in love with him.

This little guy absolutely adores people. One of his favorite things is covering his humans in puppy kisses and soaking up all the love and attention he can get. When he's not snuggling, you'll usually find him playing with toys—especially a good game of tug-of-war! Whether he's tugging with his people or challenging one of his puppy siblings to a match, Rover is always ready for fun. He also loves wrestling and romping around with the other puppies before curling up for a well-earned nap.
Like all young puppies, Rover is still learning about the world around him. He will need a family committed to training, socialization, routine, and all the patience that comes with raising a puppy. Establishing structure, boundaries, and positive experiences early on will help him grow into the amazing adult dog he's already showing signs of becoming. We require adopters to begin crate training immediately upon arrival home, which helps with potty training, confidence building, and developing healthy habits.
Rover is ready to fill his future family's home with laughter, kisses, cuddles, and endless puppy antics. If you're looking for a loving best friend who is equal parts playful and sweet, Rover Journey may be your perfect match.

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!
We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
