🇺🇸
Friendswood, Texas

DESCRIPTION

Leela Lou Lovey is the perfect mix of sweet and spicy and to top it all off she is absolutely ADORABLE. Our favorite thing about Leela is how confident she is in meeting new people, how happy she is all the time, and those satellite ears! Oh my heck are her ears out of this world and have a personality of their own. She will steal your heart in an instant and fill your life with endless amounts of joy and laughter.

Watch her video and you’ll be smitten by this social butterfly: https://youtu.be/CF_tuDcdmHM?si=YM_JNr5Egj4v1Usg

Leela Lou is believed to be a pittie/lab mix approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 55 lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age.

One thing we know for certain is Leela absolutely loves people! The word stranger does not exist in her vocabulary. She does great meeting people in public making sure to smother them with kisses if they let her and is the happiest little butterball all the time. If you're someone who loves to hosting, having friends over, and throwing parties, Leela is the perfect dog for you! She loves being the center of attention and is a total social butterfly. She's a natural at making people feel welcomed, greeting everyone that walks through the door, and adding to the fun without being overwhelming. She knows when it's time to be social and when it's time to relax. She will happily snuggle up with your guests on the couch while y'all gossip or will happily entertain herself by playing with her favorite stuffy toy.

She would be a great dog to take with you on hikes, trips to the beach, outdoor patio restaurants, you name it. Leela will be happy and ready for all of the outings with you. She walks great on a leash and hardly ever pulls. If she does, it’s always out of excitement to see a friendly face. She would also do best in a home with a backyard where she can get the zoomies, enjoy the sunshine, and play with her stuffy toys. She loves tossing them up in the air to herself like she's air bud. At the end of the day, Leela will enjoy relaxing evenings with you snuggled up in bed while you watch your favorite show or movie. She is crate trained and potty trained and already knows some basic commands such as sit. Any future training with her will be easy and enjoyable because she loves treats and will do anything for a treat and she is eager to please.

Leela is dog friendly, does great walking by other dogs in public and has been in multiple playgroups. Yes, she is dog friendly but wanna know what would make Leela the happiest? Being your one and only fur baby in the home to soak up all the love and companionship. That truly is what is going to make her the happiest. She has so much love to give. Easily measurable to the equivalence of 5 dogs combined! Leela knows exactly how to make you feel special.

We are willing to test Leela Lou Lovey with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen. Just let us know.

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
