Oh my heck, are we obsessed with this little girl! There is not one bad thing we can say about Honey Bunny. When you meet Honey, you’ll instantly notice her innocent and gentle personality and her adorable, sweet face. The kind of face that gives you the uncontrollable urge to squeeze her squishy little cheeks. Like, her cuteness is almost too much for your heart to handle. It’s the kind of “I cannot handle how cute you are” feeling that just makes you melt. We don’t even know what we love most… her adorably innocent personality, those big, brown soulful eyes of hers, or her forever puppy face. There is just so much to love about her.

Honey is a Lab/Pittie mix approximately 4 years old and currently weighs 43 lbs. Y’all… she is TINY! Don’t let her pictures fool you. She’s fully grown but in a perfectly petite little body that just stopped growing. So if you’re looking for a companion who looks like a puppy but don’t want to go through the puppy stage, Honey is your girl. She has all the looks of a puppy with the maturity of an adult. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age.
She may be a little shy when meeting new people or stepping into new environments, but give her just a few minutes and you’ll see her blossom. Before you know it, she’s handing out kisses and leaning into you for affection.
Honey has spent time around children as young as four and showed a beautifully gentle, patient nature. While she handled the excitement of little ones well, we think she would truly thrive in a home with slightly older kids who can match her softer spirit. If you have grandchildren or friends with young kids who visit, Honey will do just fine, she’ll happily enjoy their company. She would also be a wonderful dog for someone who works from home because she is so quiet, easygoing, and content simply being near by.
Honey is a dog’s dog through and through. If you’re looking for a best friend for your current pup, you may have just found her. She is currently fostered with multiple dogs of all sizes and gets along great with all of them. Her play style is healthy, respectful, and easygoing. She doesn’t feel the need to initiate play, but she’s happy to join in and match the energy of other dogs. Whether that’s gentle wrestling, playful bouncing, or a little game of chase. And when she’s done? She’ll simply wander off and enjoy some fresh air or relax nearby. She brings a very peaceful, go-with-the-flow presence and fits beautifully into a group dynamic.
Honey also met our house cat Biggie and handled the introduction wonderfully. She was very respectful, did not chase him, and wasn’t bothered by typical cat behavior. Biggie was comfortable around her as well. We do not know if she has lived in a home with cats before, but this was a great first impression. If you have a cat, we can arrange a meet-and-greet or sleepover upon request.
Honey has a perfectly balanced energy level, making her an ideal companion for both outings and relaxing at home. She enjoys leisurely neighborhood walks where she can take in all the sights and smells, and then she’s more than happy to curl up next to you on the couch afterward. Honey would do best in a home with a backyard in a quieter residential area rather than in an apartment in the heart of the city. She truly is a gentle, easygoing, well-mannered little lady who is ready to fit right into her forever home.
We are willing to test Honey Bunny with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
