With a name like Goldie you anticipate a dog that is sunshine sweetness and warm from the start and this Goldie does not disappoint. This girl is absolute golden goodness on 4 legs and it starts from the very moment you lock eyes with her. This is the kind of dog who makes you feel chosen the moment she looks your way. Her eyes and tail wags tell stories that words can’t so watch this video, then continue reading to get the whole Goldie experience.

She is quick to connect, immediately warm, has a joyful spirit and an absolutely endearing tenderness. Simply, she is a natural born companion!
We estimate Goldie to be 2.5 years old, she weighs 64 lbs, and is likely a pittie/staffie/lab mix but given she is a rescue we cannot guarantee those details. What I love most about her is the way she melts when you meet her loving presence with a loving presence and physical affection. To put it simply, she turns into a puddle of sweet puppy goodness at the first sign of a belly rub. She is not dramatic about love, she just offers it so freely.
On leash, Goldie is wonderfully easy. She walks right beside you, checks in often, and only needs the occasional reminder to stay with her person. Her approach to new humans is full of sincere love- open, friendly, and so sweet. This gentle nature and tender heart does mean she is sensitive to harsh correction or a stern “no” even when it is directed at another dog or something else entirely. She will become a little Goldie pancake but it’s not fearfulness as much as her soft-hearted tender nature. She simply wants a peaceful world and does her best to keep the vibes light-hearted and gentle.
Goldie is lovely with other dogs. Her greetings are loose, wiggly, and welcoming. She play bows, she noses in politely, and rolls/spins to say, “I’m friendly, I want to play, and I’m safe.”
And as gentle and tender hearted as she can be, she leans into fun and can play rough and tumble or some chase- every bit joyful bursts of play. She reads the room well, takes breaks when needed, and never tries to overwhelm other dogs. Even when the play gets rowdy, her spirit is so kind. She would love to join a home with a playful doggie friend with medium-energy who likes a bit of chase and bounce as much as a nap in the shade.
What She Isn’t a Match For? Well, Goldie’s only true hard line is cats.
Her love of a good round of chase does not stop with feline friends. When she met our house cat it was easy to see her chase instincts wanted to take over. So for everyone’s comfort its best for Goldie to join a cat-free home. Goldie is wonderfully adaptable and could be well suited in a house with a yard or in the right apartment setting- one that welcomes pitties and provides enough physical excercise and doggie playtime sessions. She’s calm indoors, affectionate without being demanding, and truly happy to be chill company at the end of the day.
We haven't got to see her meet or play with little kids yet but as a mom myself, I can tell you it is easy to imagine her being a dream family dog. She has all of the qualities I look for in a family pet-a dog who is loving, playful, and grounded. Goldie is ready and waiting! She isn’t going to bring chaos- she is not loud and not dramatic- just tail-wiggly happiness that makes everyday a little brighter. She is affectionate, dog-social, people-loving, and deeply responsive to gentle connection. Basically, this is a dog you will be grateful to share your home and life with.
If you’re looking for a warm, joyful, beautifully social girl who will love you and yours with her whole self…
Goldie is ready and waiting to come home!

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!
We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
