DESCRIPTION
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.McKay is a 2 to 3 month old pit bull/lab mix puppy who came to us with his 6 siblings. He is a typical puppy - friendly and active, wanting to chew on everything. He will be ready for adoption after his 2nd of 3 puppy shots, around the first week of March. We will coordinate the rest of the vet work as it is age appropriate, all of which is covered under his adoption fee of $150. This is includes all 3 distemper/parvo vaccinations, rabies vaccination (when age appropriate), microchip, and neuter surgery (when age appropriate).
As a young puppy, McKay will require a lot of basic training in all areas. He needs a home in which he won't be alone too long. He should do okay with other dogs and is young enough to learn how to interact with cats. Older kids would be best as he's a young puppy needing training. Most likely, he will be a rather large dog at maturity.
NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org.
We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.
We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
