Jessie is a 2-year-old, 65 lb pit/husky/Great Pyrenees mix with the sweetest, most gentle soul.
She is chill, docile, and always wagging her tail. Jessie loves being pet, loves being near her people, and is happiest sunbathing or quietly hanging out by your side. She’s incredibly affectionate and very treat motivated. She can be a little submissive and gets spooked by loud noises, so she’ll do best with a kind, reassuring family.
She’s great on leash, potty trained, and crate trained. Jessie is wonderful with dogs of all sizes, great with cats, and loves kids of all ages — including toddlers. She’s truly friendly with everyone she meets.
Jessie was found living under a house with her puppies after being hit by a car and breaking her pelvis. X-rays also revealed she had been shot at some point in her life. Despite everything, her pelvis has healed beautifully on its own and her spirit remains incredibly loving. All of her puppies have found homes — now it’s her turn.
She is heartworm positive and has started slow-kill treatment. Our rescue provides everything needed to complete her treatment.
If you’re looking for a calm, gentle, resilient girl to love forever, Jessie is ready.
