A Plea for Sassy: Six Months is Too Long 💔
Six months. That is how long Sassy waited behind shelter bars in North Carolina, watching others go home while she stays behind. At just 1.5 years old and 45 lbs, this vibrant girl should be out exploring the world, but instead, she was facing the most heartbreaking reality: Sassy was running out of time and is facing euthanasia if she doesn't find a home or rescue soon. Lucky for her, and all of us, B.A.R.K. was able to rescue her and bring her to NJ for adoption.
Sassy is the definition of "resilient." Even with an ACL injury, her spirit remains unbroken. She is full of life and energy, though the long months of confinement are making her restless. Sassy is microchipped and spayed.
A Diamond in the Rough
Sassy is a smart girl, but she does need some guidance and consistent training. Because she is so full of bottled-up energy, she can be a little "mouthy" when she gets excited. She needs a patient leader who can help her deflect that energy toward appropriate outlets.
Sassy doesn't need a miracle; she just needs YOU. Whether you can adopt her or make a donation towards the medical care her ACL needs, please don't let her story end here.
If you are considering adoption, please be aware that B.A.R.K. will pay for her ACL repair and all associated medical costs.
