WREN JUST RIGHT GIRL

Pit Bull Terrier, Black Labrador Retriever
🇺🇸
Friendswood, Texas
March 23rd
female, medium, baby

DESCRIPTION

She is playful, smart, and just the right amount of thoughtful and her name is Wren! This sweet girl is one of those growing puppies who already eels beautifully balanced. She has the fun-loving, bouncy spirit you would expect from a 7-month-old, but she also comes with a lovely sense of awareness that makes her feel a little extra special. She is affectionate without being pushy, social without being chaotic, and full of that sweet puppy curiosity that makes everyday life more fun.

Go watch her in action on YouTube then come right back because this girl is a very easy one to picture in your life.

Wren is estimated to be around 7 months old and currently weighs 36 lbs, with a little growing left to do. She appears to be a Lab/Pittie mix, though with rescue, breed and birthday are always our best guess. What we do know for sure is that she is in that wonderful puppy stage where she is eager to learn, ready to play, and already showing what a lovely companion she is becoming.

She is being fostered in a loving home with two cats, a male Great Pyrenees, and a 15-year-old daughter, and she is doing beautifully. Wren is both house and crate trained, which is always a little round of applause moment. We love a girl who comes with some preprogrammed skills. She is attentive, learns quickly, and seems to genuinely enjoy figuring things out, which makes her the kind of puppy who feels very ready to keep blossoming in a home that wants to keep teaching her.

With people, Wren is sweet and polite, but she is not the kind of dog who thinks every stranger on the sidewalk needs to become her new best friend immediately. She is happy with her own people and all those people out in the world are just passers-by, and honestly, we see the charm in that. With guests in the home she is lovely and respectful, and when she is ready for affection, she asks for it in a gentle, polite way that is hard not to adore.

With dogs, Wren is very well socialized and knows how to read the room. She greets new dogs on leash in a friendly, gentle way, and once introductions are out of the way, her playful side comes to life. She was bouncy and playful with the equally young, playful ones and helped bring up the energy in the group, showing off that classic happy puppy spirit. She is exactly the kind of young dog who loves a good dog friend and really shines when she has a playful buddy who matches her vibe. At the same time, she has also shown that she respects older dogs and less bouncy companions, which is such a nice quality in a youngster.

Her foster reports that she free roams peacefully with two cats and the resident Great Pyrenees, and while she is playful with the cats, she is harmless. That said, she is still a puppy with a playful heart, so we think she would do best in a home with another dog if there are cats around, just so her playful energy has the right outlet. She could absolutely live with cats, but we would be most excited to see her in a home where she has a canine friend to romp with too.

Wren could do well in a home with kids, and while she would likely enjoy a yard, she should also be just fine in an apartment with the right exercise and enrichment. More than anything, she is looking for a home that appreciates a puppy who is equal parts playful and polite, one who is still growing into herself but already showing all the signs of being a really wonderful dog.

If you are looking for a young dog with good manners, a bright mind, a playful streak, and a soft, thoughtful way about her, Wren is your girl!
Apply today, she is ready and waiting for you!
