The first thing you need to know about Taz Bunny is his love for his people. Once he opens up, it's game over and before you know it he's the best morning wake up call and the sweetest greeting when you get home. He will snuggle with you all day if you let him and enjoys hanging out in the back yard with you too. Taz's foster mom specifically says that her absolute favorite thing about him is how affectionate he is, how in-tune he is with her, and the way he just has this calming energy about him. Taz is the definition of a soul dog and he has those soulful eyes that just make your heart melt.

Taz Bunny is believed to be a Pittie mix approximately 7 months and currently weighs 41 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age.
Taz is super dog friendly and has gotten along great with every dog we have introduced him to and is currently being fostered in a multi-dog home with a large male dane mix and a small feisty little guy that is only about 7 lbs...if that! He’s been with super dominant males, dominant females, really shy and shutdown dogs, dogs that like to roughhouse, play chase, and dogs that just like to hang out and do their own thing and he’s been a perfect prince with them all. He does great meeting dogs on leash and even does great meeting dogs off leash as well. Taz loves making friends with other dogs and already has amazing social skills. He is good about matching the energy of the other dogs. He will play when play is invited and will enjoy those relaxing hangout moments too. One of this favorite things to do is play tug of war with his little foster sibling and he is so gentle about it too!
Taz also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. He did not chase Biggie, nor was he bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around him too. Taz also is fostered in a home with a cat too and has done great!
When he is with a confident dog that likes to play, his play style is still very much puppy-like in the sense that it’s bouncy, a little mouthy, with a game of tag-you’re-it from time to time too. Taz shares affection with other dogs too! No jealousy here, and he is also comfortable sharing treats around other dogs as well. He is just a sweet baby that has such a go-with-the-flow personality. We would love to see him in a home with another dog, but he would be completely fine as your one and only as well.
Taz is already so well behaved and according to his foster, already has wonderful house manners too. He walks well on a leash and is even good at tandem walking next to another dog. He could be a pack walk master in no time! Taz comes prepped already knowing a couple of basic commands as well, such as sit, and is so gentle when he takes treats. He loves treats, is eager to please, and has already proven he’s a smart little boy. The perfect trifecta for any additional training you would like to do with him in the future. It’ll be an enjoyable bonding experience for you both. Taz is crate trained and is completely potty trained. His foster reports that he has not had one accident in the house and never gave the impression of even attempting. Taz also knows how to use a doggy door!
Taz would thrive in a home with a backyard where he can romp around, stretch his legs, play with his toys, and relax in the sun. He also has the potential to thrive in an apartment or condo setting as well with proper exercise and socialization. He doesn’t need much, just a long walk to the park, a place where he can play fetch, or even some in-home mental stimulation puzzles. He would love that too. In all honesty though, he is completely happy being a total couch potato as well. So get ready for lazy Sunday movie marathon snuggles with Taz because that’s what’s going to happen. He’ll enjoy mini adventures as well, just be prepared to be stopped by everyone because he’s so stinking cute. Taz is the best of both worlds in our eyes. We haven’t seen Taz around kids just yet and we can absolutely test that for you. Based on what we already know about him, we believe he would make a great family dog.
We are willing to test Taz Bunny with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
