If you’re searching for a dog who truly values the bond in bonding, Roscoe is your guy. This handsome fellow is the definition of a love bug once he settles in; he’ll roll onto his back for belly rubs the second you step inside and will happily climb right into your arms for a face full of kisses! He’s got a playful spirit and loves to fetch a toy to show off his silly side, making every afternoon feel like a private party. With his striking presence and deep devotion, Roscoe isn't just a pet he’s a best friend who is fully invested in being by your side.

While he looks like a focused professional on his morning walks, the second he crosses the threshold of your home, he officially resigns from his job to become your full time personal space invader! He doesn’t just sit near you; he’ll press his entire velvet self against your legs just to make sure you haven’t floated away. Whether you’re trying to fold laundry or settle in for a Netflix marathon, Roscoe is right there, ready to offer his services as a professional weighted blanket. He’s not just looking for a backyard to patrol he’s looking for a human to absolutely adore (and maybe a spot on the couch that’s exactly where you’re sitting).
While his DNA results might be a total rescue mystery, we’re pretty sure Roscoe is a top-tier blend of Stunning American Pit Bull Terrier and 100% Grade A Mush! He’s a big dog with an even bigger heart kind of guy, though he clearly missed the memo on how big he actually is. In Roscoe’s mind, he is precisely the right size to be a portable lap warmer, and he’ll happily tuck his sturdy self right onto your legs for a snooze. Beneath that impressive, muscular tough guy exterior is really just a giant, marshmallowy softie who lives for belly rubs and hearing those four magic words: "Who’s a good boy?" (Spoiler alert: it’s him. It’s always him.)
He is absolutely thriving in foster care!Roscoe has shown us he’s a total pro at the "indoor dog" lifestyle. He is officially a gold star student when it comes to crate training, treating his crate like his own private den where he can snooze the day away. And if you’re looking for a co-pilot? Roscoe is your guy! He’s a big fan of car rides, sitting like a perfect gentleman as he watches the world go by. He’s already learned the household routine and is just waiting for a family to make it permanent.
Roscoe has been spending time with a professional trainer and is making incredible strides in his social skills! He’s been learning how to navigate the world and is doing a great job checking in with his handler. Because he’s so focused on his human, he’s a dream on a leash for someone who knows how to give clear, firm directions. He’s the type of dog who thrives on routine and clear expectations, which makes his progress even more rewarding to watch.
When it comes to other dogs, Roscoe is a bit of a middle manager; he likes to make sure everyone is following the rules! He can be a little stiff during first greetings, but once the introductions are over, he shakes off the stress and is ready to coexist. He’d be a perfect match for a goofy, medium to low energy female dog who doesn’t mind his vocal play style. He’s a vocal player, which is just his way of saying he's having a blast!
While Roscoe is full of love, he’s decided that the feline lifestyle just isn’t for him. He is a no cat allowed type of guy and is looking for a home where he doesn’t have to worry about any kitty roommates.
The ideal castle for Roscoe would be a home with a fenced in yard where he can patrol his kingdom and play to his heart's content. He isn't really an apartment candidate; Roscoe needs a little more elbow room than a hallway can offer. He’s looking for a dog savvy adopter, someone who understands strong willed breeds and enjoys the reward of working with a smart dog. In return, you'll get a dog whose loyalty knows no bounds and whose cuddles are world class.
Roscoe is a sophisticated, strong, and deeply affectionate soul who just needs a leader to show him the way. He’s a once in a lifetime dog who will give you his whole heart the moment you earn it.

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready.
