DESCRIPTION

If you love your dogs with absolute devotion and adoration, this is your boy! Mickey is the kind of dog who doesn’t rush the moment, but somehow makes every moment feel a little more meaningful just by being there.

Go watch Mickey on YouTube, then come right back to fall even more in love with this sweet boy.

Mickey is estimated to be around 1-2 years old, he weighs 46 lbs and is likely a pittie/staffie mix. As with all rescue pups, breed and birthday are our best guess, but his personality? That part is crystal clear. He is gentle in the truest sense of the word… thoughtful, observant, and full of quiet affection.

Mickey is fostered in loving home which only helps us know him that much more closely. Mickey lives with kids, dogs of all sizes, and is a frequent character in his neighborhood thanks to his love of walks. He absolutely adores kids and has the kind of natural softness that makes him a wonderful companion for families. He’s incredibly gentle, patient, and seems to understand how to move through the world with a careful kind of kindness. With other dogs, he does great and truly benefits from having a canine friend around. They help him feel more confident, especially when meeting new people.

In his foster home, Mickey has been an easy and lovely presence. He’s fully potty trained, sleeps quietly in his kennel at night, and walks nicely on leash. He enjoys food and treats and is always happy to share. Same for toys,he enjoys them and is happy to share the fun. His foster shared that he has such a well balanced energy that makes him just as happy to play as he is to relax nearby. He may take a moment to come up to someone new, but he doesn’t need pressure or convincing. Mickey chooses connection in his own time, and when he does, it feels real. He’ll come over, lean in, and quietly decide you’re his person.
Living with a variety of dogs big to small, friendly to spicy, has only proved that Mickey is solid with other dogs. He is not looking for trouble even when it is brought to him, proving repeatedly that he chooses ease and peace over any kind of trouble.

We would love to see Mickey in a home with a yard and of course, at least one dog to call a friend. He could be an apartment dog thanks to his quiet nature and ease on leash but he will need regular walks and nature outings for his physical and mental health.
Mickey is the best kind of dog- a dogs best-friend with a calm presence and simple needs. Just a safe place, a little time, and someone who understands that the best bonds are the ones that grow naturally.

If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion with a heart that opens slowly but fully, Mickey is ready and waiting.

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
