Meet Eve!

On Christmas, when most families were opening gifts, Eve was on a euthanasia list. She was pulled from a local animal shelter, with a broken leg in need of a lot of medical attention.

For three months, Eve endured regular splint changes, strict rest, and the slow, patient work of healing a fractured leg. She was also pregnant — heartbreakingly, she lost all of her babies.

She didn't shut down. She didn't turn bitter. She pressed her nose into your hand, asked for belly rubs, and kept on smiling — that unmistakable, goofy, full-faced smile that makes you just fall in love with her.

Now fully healed and finally free to stretch those legs, Eve is ready to find her forever family. She loves long walks, a good game of tug-of-war, and the particular joy of spotting a squirrel through the window. She sleeps curled up with her humans, goes to bed early like a good girl, and wakes up ready to love the day.
