Oh my goodness, y'all this girl is the definition of what it means to be a love bug! Mona Lovey is all about affection and that's not an exaggeration. Her love language is physical touch. To her, any attention or touch is the best thing since sliced bread. When she first meets people she melts into the like she has known them her whole life and shows her love in such a gentle way. It's never too much and always just enough. Let's be honest though, there is no such thing as too much love from Mona Lovey. If it's not already obvious, she also has the face of an angel! The type of face that is frozen in time and will forever look like a puppy. Mona Lovey has already even mastered those puppy dog sad face eyes that no one can resist.

Mona Lovey is a pittie mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 70lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Don't let her pictures fool you though, she may look big and her current weight may be deceiving but she's like an oversized puppy. That's simply the best way to describe her size. Not too big, not too small, the perfect happy shmedium.
Mona is dog friendly and loves doggy play dates with her furry friends. A social butterfly that likes to play, mingle, roll around, and partake in the cutest kiss cam worthy moments. She's a little flirt that loves to give kisses to all of her doggy pals. Mona is the type of dog that easily makes friends with all the dogs she meets and she'll love it so much if you schedule play dates for her or take her doggy day care. Those play dates and trips to doggy day care will be one of the many the highlights of her week.
Mona had previously lived in a home with 2 large dogs and a baby. She is a low energy gal who is laid back and would prefer other dogs to match her energy.
Mona would thrive in a home with a back yard where she can romp around, stretch her legs, and relax in the sun. She also has the potential of thriving in an apartment/condo setting as well. She is not high energy and will be happy with a walk to the park or a scheduled play date with a doggy friend and then she'll be ready for nap snuggled up on the couch. Mona loves kids too! Her gentle and calming presence leads us to believe she would be good with most ages. She just wants to be close without being too pushy. She loves to cuddle and nudge her head in her lap. She immediately asked an 11 year old here at the rescue for some good snuggles, and of course she got her way. Because as much as she loves kids, they may love her even more! We can see her being your lazy Sunday snuggly princess, your peaceful walking partner on a Saturday morning, and can even be a great work from home girly due to her relaxed personality. Her only request is that you take break from your computer every now and then to show her some love. She'll love it even more if you let her snuggle with you while you work too. She has all of the makings of being able to do both. Mona is the best of both worlds in our eyes. She is crate trained, potty trained, walks like a total angel on leash, and she even does great tandem walking with other dogs! Her leash skills are perfection and she hardly ever pulls, if at all. Mona is a dream lovable come true.
We are willing to test Mona Lovey with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s a perfect match. We can make anything happen. Just let us know!

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.
While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
