Meet Bobby — the ultimate happy-go-lucky golden boy with a smile big enough to light up the whole room.

Bobby is about two years old, but he has the joyful, bouncy heart of a kid on a trampoline. He walks into every new situation like, “HELLO EVERYONE, I LOVE YOU ALL ALREADY.” He’s the kind of dog who makes people instantly grin because he’s just that happy and that sweet.

He’s also extremely handsome — like, “wait, is he a dog or a living teddy bear with muscles?” handsome. And don’t even get us started on the goofy tongue-out smile. It’s a whole personality. We think he’s a pitty/staffy mix, but with rescue it's always a best guess (that pitty smile doesn't lie though)!

When Bobby met kids, he LOST HIS MIND (in the best way). He thought they were the most magical creatures ever invented. He soaked up all their attention, played gently, and acted like he’d known them his whole life. They thought he was hilarious and fun, and he thought they were the greatest thing since squeaky toys.

Bobby is a big people lover in general — he’s affectionate, cuddly, silly, and loves to lean into you like he’s giving a full-body hug. He enjoys having lots of folks around, and he’d be amazing in a busy, lively home that wants a dog who brings joy wherever he goes.

He’s also crate trained, walks in without a fuss, and settles down easily. And yes, the man knows his sit. He will proudly plop his butt on the ground like he’s presenting a magic trick, especially if there are treats involved. He’s smart, eager to please, and loves learning from his people.

As for dog friends, Bobby would do best with a sweet, friendly female dog who can be his buddy and show him how to have fun without getting too rowdy. He’s got a confident personality but really just wants to play and have a good time. He listens well, responds to redirection, and wants to make good choices — he’s still figuring out “dog social rules,” and a calm, fun girl dog would be perfect for him.

No cats for Bobby, though — he’s way too interested in them.

Apartment living? Totally possible, especially in a quieter complex. He’s pretty respectful on leash, curious about the world, and loves going on adventures.

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travel safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations, in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page!

Before the adoption is finalized, you will meet your pet through a video call, creating a fun and personalized experience!

The adoption fee is $1000 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
