Piper is a 7-year-old pittie mix with the kindest eyes and the softest heart. She weighs about 50 pounds right now, a little extra from years of shelter life, but underneath it is a girl who is ready to get out, get moving, and finally live.

Back in 2021, Piper was dropped off at a rural shelter when her family had a baby and decided they no longer had time for her. Since that day, she has been waiting. Day after day, year after year, watching the world pass her by from inside a kennel.

And still, she is nothing but love.

Piper has been a favorite among the shelter staff, soaking up every bit of attention she can get. She leans into affection, stays close to her people, and carries a quiet, gentle energy that makes you feel at ease the moment you meet her.

She gets along well with dogs, does great with kids, and loves people. She is past the puppy stage and simply wants a home where she can be part of a family again, go on walks, and have a cozy place to rest her head.

Piper does not need perfection. She does not need anything fancy. She just needs someone to finally choose her.

After years of waiting, Piper is more than ready for her second chance.
