MY AGE: 10 months WEIGHT: 14lbs

MY STORY: River is a 10-month-old male Pekingese/Chihuahua mix who recently came to rescue when his owner’s living situation changed. Despite the big transition, River has kept his cheerful personality and friendly nature — he’s the kind of little dog who assumes everyone he meets might be his new best friend.

This sweet boy enjoys a nice walk where he can explore the world at his pace, followed by playtime and then his favorite activity… cuddling. River loves being close to his people and happily settles in for snuggles after he burns off a bit of puppy energy.

Still young and eager to learn, River would fit well in many homes looking for an affectionate companion with a playful side. If you want a buddy who is just as happy going on adventures as he is curling up beside you at the end of the day, River is ready to flow right into your life.

Adopters must be 24 years of age. We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN. We do not guarantee dog breeds.
