Ophelia is a tiny 15 pound bundle of love with a heart bigger than her body. She is incredibly friendly and affectionate and she absolutely adores attention especially from our child volunteers. She would thrive in a loving home where she can be doted on and snuggle up with her humans.
Ophelia has had a tough start medically but she is a total fighter. She recently recovered from a serious surgery to remove a bladder stone the size of a plumb yes really that is huge for a little pup her size and has also had 28 teeth removed due to severe dental disease. Because of these special health needs she is on a prescription diet to keep her happy and healthy for years to come.
Socially Ophelia has made some sweet small dog friends but she has a bit of small dog syndrome and does not like big dogs. She is outrageously convinced she could take down a dog four times her size but in reality she is a tiny chicken nugget and those big dogs could seriously hurt her. So a home with other small dogs or no dogs at all is safest for this pint sized princess.
This little lady is full of personality resilience and love to give. Ophelia is ready to find a family who will be smitten by her loving heart, gentle snuggles, and playful personality, while giving her the care she needs to stay happy and healthy.
