Lainey came in to us after being left unclaimed from the pound
She had extremely bad diarrhea while impounded
She was on gastro food and forti flora
She was 15 kg on intake
We asked for them to examine her and dispense metranidazole
Unfortunately this didn't fix the issue
They had also dispensed Panacur and we ended up going ahead with that along with entero aid plus psyllium husks
It seems adding the last 3 items fixed her up
She is done the metranidazole, the panacur, the entero aid, the forti flora now and doing well on the gastro kibble and the psyllium husks
We have no idea why she was in the shape she was but we are hopeful that she will not relapse
She is housetrained
Lainey is extremely sweet and is excellent with other dogs
We would like her to go to a home with another playful companion dog
Lainey knew to sit, shake a paw and go in her crate
Lainey did go over the fence while transitioning at her foster home the first few days - the snow was high and the fence was low
When she was retrieved she was clearly fearful of repercussions - Unfortunately it is likely she has seen some abuse
She is also afraid of typical things in a normal home such as vacuums and clothes dryers
We have had her spayed, and she has her vaccines, as well as a microchip plus has been heartworm tested
She is fostered in Ripley
