This 13 pound, 4-year-old terrier mix may be a bit shy at first, but once she feels safe, she melts into the coziest little companion. Emberlyn loves nothing more than curling up in a quiet lap, soaking in the comfort and calm she's learning to trust more each day.

After spending part of her life on the streets, where stress and uncertainty were her norm, Emberlyn is discovering what it means to feel secure. With patience and love, her confidence is steadily growing, and it's truly special to watch her personality begin to shine through.

Outside, she can be a bit more rambunctious as she continues learning the ropes of leash life, but she's making great progress and showing wonderful potential. Inside, she's all about that peaceful, cozy couch life.

Emberlyn is incredibly sweet and submissive, handling bath time like a pro and calmly accepting medication when needed. She gets along well with other dogs-both big and small-and has a gentle, passive nature. She also appears to do well with cats. Even better, she's currently excelling in both potty training and leash training.

Emberlyn would thrive in a calm, patient home where she can continue to build trust at her own pace. In return, she'll offer quiet companionship, soft cuddles, and the kind of love that only a dog who's overcome so much can give.
