Buddy is a one-on-one dog who bonds intensely hard with his person. Right now that person is me. He has only just started licking my face after three-years together. He wants love badly.

He was discovered locked in a crate in the woods and left to die out in rural Alabama. He had Heartworm ravaging him. We treated him and got him healthy.

Buddy can be locked in a bedroom if visitors come over. It's best. He does not do well meeting strangers. Knowing him is loving him.

Full transparency is that our sweet boy will, indeed, lunge at new people entering his home; because his job is to protect is cherished humans. It's all love.

Buddy may be protective of his humans, but he has never bitten a soul since I've known him. And that's three long years.
