DESCRIPTION
Lyra may have been found as a stray, but we have a feeling this girl has a little cowgirl spirit in her! With a microchip traced all the way back to Dallas, Texas, we'd love to imagine she's just been waiting for her next big adventure. When Lyra first arrived at the shelter, she was absolutely terrified. But with a little patience and a lot of kindness, her true personality came bursting through. Now this just-over-a-year-old pup is a playful, goofy girl who loves racing around the yard, tossing her toys, and soaking up every bit of love and attention she can get. Lyra can be a little reserved when meeting new people, especially men, but give her a little time and she'll happily let you into her circle. Once you've earned her trust, you'll discover a fun-loving companion who's always ready to play and make you smile. This isn't Lyra's first time searching for a family, and we'd love for it to be her last. She's ready to trade shelter life for a home filled with patience, commitment, and plenty of adventures. If you're looking for a sweet young dog with a playful heart and a story that's just waiting for a happy ending, Lyra is ready to meet you.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The Pit Bull Terrier is a resilient and loyal breed known for its muscular build and loving nature. Originally bred for bull baiting and later dog fighting, Pit Bulls today are beloved family pets cherished for their gentle temperament and playful personality. With proper training and socialization, Pit Bull Terriers make affectionate companions that thrive on human interaction. Recognized for their strength and agility, these dogs require regular exercise and mental stimulation to channel their energy positively, reinforcing their reputation as devoted and trainable pets.
