Simba is a small, sweet terrier mix who weighs about 15-20 lbs and is estimated to be about 8 months old. He was rescued from the shelter in AL. We don't know how he came to be in the shelter but we do know that he's sweet and shy. He will blossom once he knows he's home and safe with his family. He's an older puppy so will need a family that's willing to give him daily exercise and play time and to do all the basic puppy training- leash, potty, crate, and basic commands. He's currently in AL but will be coming to Maine at the end of February.
If you think you might be interested in adopting Simba or just want to get pre-approved to adopt through us, please fill out an application on our website. Approvals are valid for one year and you will not have the waiting period of an application if you see a dog that you like! Approved adopters are placed on our email list for each transport and receive our Google slides that we send to all pre-approved adopters before posting on Petfinder and our social media and are eligible to attend our meet and greet events.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
