Meet Jill, who came in with her brother Jack! She's 3 years old and weighs 8 lbs! When Jill arrived, she was horribly matted and dirty. Both she and her brother had a layer of matting underneath larger mats, which one of our Intake Specialists described as being like the full-body shield in Halo. It was so bad that we couldn't get a regular blood draw from them. Luckily, our friends at Muttamorphasis Dog Grooming were able to groom both, and they're looking a lot better! Jill is a really sweet gal who doesn't mind being picked up or carried, although she can be a bit hesitant and sometimes gives really light warning nips when she's uncomfortable! Outside, she stayed with me and crawled into my lap when I sat on the ground. If you're looking for a real cutie, come meet this freshly groomed girl today! ...
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
