DESCRIPTION
Meet Dulce, who is the sweetest guy! He's 2 years old, weighs 72 lbs, and loves everything and everyone! He came to us with bite and claw marks on his snout, which was bloody, so we initially looked for rescue placement. He showed positive interest in a WAS employee's dog when they passed by, so we did a dog-to-dog introduction, and it went great! Dulce ran up to the catch pen, wiggling his tail, giving good sniffs through the kennel, and stayed loose-bodied. The tester dog was a bit more nervous and not quite as comfortable/interested, but did well. Dulce picked up on the dog's lack of interest and did well with walking away and coexisting to the point where our Behavior Specialists were able to drop leashes without incident. Dulce tends to pull hard on the leash, so we would HIGHLY RECOMMEND grabbing a Weiss Walkie leash at our KHS Store to keep him from injuring his throat. Outside, he showed me he was very housetrained, loved giving and accepting kisses, and was just an extremely happy boy! I hope you'll come meet him today! ...
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
